Hi William I found Bongs comment very useful and clever and I will try again with the Tamron 17mm from the ground to see if the photo get's more "divine". The A24mm (36mm) is not wide enough there. Greetings Markus

It seems you were on the balcony or the choir loft at the back. Old European cathedrals were designed to pull you up to the divine, that is what I feel is missing. I think you should have included more ceiling at the expense of the pews, which aren't doing anything for the picture.
