We're currently looking at one of the Canon digital Elphs.  They have
some left over DS600's for $229.  Web reviews have said the picture
quality is good and since this camera is ultimately for my wife (when I
get back) she wants a small body that fits in a pocket.

My daughter did not like the istD i bought here, so i sold it and got
here a Canon A530. Five Mp, does the video etc.

Nice camera and good picture quality.

It was well under $300 Canadian and has gone down, here, in price since
Xmas.
