What it did was minimize it to the point where viewed
full size it's no longer really noticeable. As you
would expect, some of the lenses fared better than
others. On the A50 f1.4, for instance, f8 was where it effectively
disappeared, at f5.6 it was OK (same for the A*85 f1.4 and the zoom). On
the FA31 Ltd it was "gone" by f4...no real surprise as this lens excels
in nearly every dept.
