I don't think you can ever avoid it completely in pics where a high  
contrast juncture occurs, such as that of the boys face and the dark  
green background. But you can certainly learn to fix it quickly and  
efficiently. As I noted in another thread, I don't think fringing has  
anything to do with the type of lens aberrations that cause what we  
commonly call CA, but I do find that some lenses are more prone to  
fringing than others.
