My Epson 2450 flatbed scanner, used to scan medium format negatives,
simply can't muster enough quality to compete with a Pentax K10D. So,
since I have a bunch of MF negatives, have the Pentax 645 here now,
and I can't really justify the $1300 used-1800 new for a Nikon 9000
ED, I upgraded to the Epson V700.

Just did a few tests, nothing to post yet, but it is definitely a
good bit better on resolution and speed compared to the 2450. And it
was less expensive than the 2450 was when I bought it in 2002 or
2003. Time does march onwards...
