I don't have a K10d or K100d but I believe that you're supposed to use 
the actual FL.

I've noticed that with A lenses the histogram is often way to the 
right.  I almost always bias exposure by +1/3 to +1 stops when I have a 
chance.  (K and M lenses metering seem to vary a lot to, though not so 
consistently),  I don't think the polarizer makes any difference, it's 
what's programmed into the meter.
