At a place in SF where I used to work, we sold a VHS deck that would playback ANY format of tape. I believe it was made by SONY. It was really geared toward transfer/copy houses but it wasn't an "industry" level machine, it was a high-consumer level unit. Here's a Hitachi unit on ebay right now: http://cgi.ebay.com/Hi-Fi-Stereo-Vhs-Multi-Standard-Recorder-Player-Hitachi_W0QQitemZ220103968117QQihZ012QQcategoryZ3318QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Here's a multi-standard DVD player for sale: http://www.110220volts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=DVD-537 Doesn't look illegal to me. They're in Illinois. -Brendan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
