        ... and as long as I don't have "fair-use" to time-shift HD 
offerings, (read: MythTV) I shan't be giving them any of my money.  Face 
it... HDTV and DTV in general has been legislated as "mandatory"  since 
the mid 90's.  It hasn't been feasible to force people to switch because 
everyone has been fighting over royalties and what type of DRM can be 
inflicted upon users.  As a consequence, it is not nearly as prevalent as 
it {c|sh}ould be.
