        I cry bullshit on this.  CRT's have been capable of reproducing 
1920x1080 (i.e. 1080i, 1080p) and *certainly* 1280x720 (i.e. 720p) for 
many years.  Many "HD-ready" sets sold withing the past 12-18 months do 
not have HDMI-capable inputes.
