funny you mention it but thats what I
am currently getting, DirecTV with
everything they offer and a HD DVR
for $100 a month. Thats the best
$100 that I spend every month in terms
of VALUE. I wouldnt dream of dropping
it and of course I have that option
so whats your point?


Most people spend at least
half that for maybe crappy analog
basic/extended cable and one pay channel,
with no DVR, it's more than WORTH that extra $50, every
pennies worth. Actally the $50
deal with no HD or DVR and only
one movie channel, is the far worse value
for your money IMHO.

The full satellite package from DirecTV, except for the extra sports
channels, runs something like $100 a month, plus an extra $10 to get the
HD programming.  They graciously waive the $5/month DVR charge.
