nope, average sound systems are very lossy, there
are delicate yet beautiful subtleties to the music/sounds
that are LOST that you cant hear even though
they ARE on the recording with average gear.
There are also other Things like thunderous dynamics
get squashed taking the "life" out the music,
things like imaging that make the instruments
seem to be coming from a specific space,
things like immediacy where the transient sounds are
so fast, they can become startling, etc, etc,
youre out of your mind if you think you mind
can create all this stuff on a crappy sounding
audio system that doesnt do these things, which is what high
end audio / MUSIC is all about.

What your taking about is true to some extent but only
with regards only to noise like hiss or static,
but its NOT true with regards to all the other very
LOSSY problems average sound system have.

When it gets to that point I read a book, take a walk, or get a glass of

Pinot Boir or Malbec and sit outside communing with the stars.

Quite frankly I have very fond memories of playing scratched 33 1/3
Beatles
LP's on a portable stereophonic Zenith record changer with built-in
speakers
on the bedroom floor.

Most of us have an exquisite filter that just follows our eyes and ears
in
the sensory train. It's called a brain. This clever little device
magically seems to clean up hisses, pops, snow, static, etc., so that we

continue enjoying what we see and hear despite any momentary
imperfections
in it's reproduction.
