Only one way to find out . . . make a contact with that name, and try to
send an email to them . . . .

. . . with netscape, I got the message that the server was unknown and
was given a choice to continue with unsent mail, or cancel attempt to
send mail . . . . 

. . . . so I gues for netscape it will work.
