Being that I have that particular lens on my *istD (and have yet to load the firmware to allow me to use my MF lenses), I was interested to see what they said about the DA 18-55/f3.5-5.6, and my brief experience with it is pretty much corroborated by this test. Soft at the edges at 18 mm, a fair bit of barrel distortion at 18mm, less noticeable pincushion distortion at 55 mm, well constructed, solid feel. Nothing spectacular, but it's nice to know that my sample seems typical. Great value. At least it was for me. ;-) cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
