The IR remote won't work with the 2s timer, but you can use the cable release/wired remote instead.

The camera must be set to the wireless 3sec delay pos, then the remote will work. If the 2 sec self timer delay is chosen, the camera must be tripped with the shutter release button, and the delay will be 2 sec. The other delay choice is the normal 12 sec delay.
