My wife came home Saturday with a cheapie Wal Mart mtn bike she got for 10 bucks at a garage sale, and we've been teaching the boy how to ride his bike, and all these bike photos are showing up on the list, so I took this as a general sign I should find one for myself.
So this afternoon the boy and I went prowling through thrift shops and came away with an early '90's Trek 800. It needs a chain, probably a cassette, a front brake adjustment, and some overall attention with some naval jelly, but the frame is great and it should clean up well. Not bad for $15, huh? It's in the truck right now. I'll try to post up a photo or two tomorrow.
