CRAZY, this doesnt prove anything, I can produce
photos all day long from this lens that
dont show bad bokeh too, and as I already
atated, the RAW FILES at full size with
NO processing, and the VIEWFINDER can
easily reveal the bad bokeh.

This lens simply has very bad bokeh
compared to most lenses or most
Pentax lenses. The reason I know this
is I have used hundreds of different
lenses and dont really think about bokeh
or check bokeh. But when I mounted
this 85mm F2.0 Lens and focussed it
for the first time near its minimum
focus limit the out of focus behavior
immeditately jumped out at me as being
quite "weird" compared to most lenses
and my test images that I posted
reveal it AS WELL as the original captures
and the OPTICAL behavior in the VF
which of course eliminates any
possibilty of any image processing
causing the problem.

Lastly, you guys seem to be missing
the fact that BOKEH in an image
that shows bokeh is on huge scale
relative to the entire image and
its not going to be signifiganty
changed at all by normal image
processing or reduced in size
for web like fine itty bitty
details are affected.

Hi Bill,

I'm glad you chimed in with those pics.

On thing that a lot of people fail to realize is that the bokeh you see
on a small web image tends to smooth out as the photo gets larger. So,
if, for example, the bokeh looks marginally smooth and acceptable on an
800 x 600 pixel web image, it's going to look a lot better on a
full-size print that's about 18-inches or so on the long side.
