Marnie, I know standing in the middle of the road's not always a  good
thing, but from the looks of it, you could have stood there for  an
hour and a half and not seen a car.  :-)

OTOH, the road with  the lack of cars only adds to the desolation of
the suburban  scene.

Thanks,  frank. Actually, I had to dodge five cars. But, yeah, it wasn't very 
many.  Nevertheless I was a bit fearful of hot-rodding teenagers. (Although 
it was  before school let out, so I was probably pretty safe.)
