Sorry, Cot, yer wrong.  The reason for the "harsh" bokeh on the 
Pyrrhuloxia is the junk IN the background.  Look at the olive sparrow I 
just posted...  smooth and creamy bokeh.  The 500's bokeh is amazing 
with or without the TC.  Even stacking a 2x AND 1.4x has shown really 
nice bokeh.
