When we are expectant on critique of our presentations it's potentially a little disappointing when we feel that our work has been overlooked. However I'm sure for many here including myself often time is the limiting factor, sometimes the preponderance of PESO/GESO and PAW presentations is overwhelming, I don't think lack of feedback is an implicit indication that an image is a flop. When I'm short of time I simply automatically mark such threads as read but occasionally I'll check the odd busy thread (like this one), that of course further reduces my likelihood of commenting on a lone image. That's why I treat any attention of my images these days as a pleasant surprise, I certainly don't expect comments nor am I generally disappointed when I don't receive comments and as above I certainly don't treat lack of feedback as negative. Back to the subject of this thread; now that I've had a good look at the image, I can't say that I'm overly enamored with the images composition and framing or its technical qualities and frankly without the written commentary there would be no story apparent to me. Maybe I'm missing something fundamental but when I do my standard "would I put this on my wall test" or "would I buy a book with this on the cover test" it fails miserably. I can appreciate however that others may find quite the opposite but in this case I too am surprised at the generally positive responses that it has garnered (but that's just me of course). It could possibly be a little more appealing to me if it were a part of a series but it's certainly not the photographic genre that I have issue with in this case.
