I dont really want to look at the photo in the display, just some LCD that gives me info, like how many files are copied, space available, etc. Does it make sense, or am I being too overly concerned? I've never really used one of these things.
=========== Lots of people feel that way. For me, being comfortable with computers, it isn't a big issue. If I see files are being copied (they do give a count and progress) and I verify that it indeed has files, then I am not really worried. It's really just a portable laptop HD with attached firmware/software to read in files. So, no, I am not paranoid about it. But many are. For me, most computer storage involves some level of trust anyway.
