The conspiracy theory is that the DEA would traffic in drugs.  That's 
something that would be impossible, this country can't keep secrets that 
are necessary to national security.  How the hell could anyone think the 
DEA would be able to keep drug running a secret..  The big lie here is 
why the Venezuelan government is cutting off contact with the DEA, and 
they can get away with it, at least within their own boarders.  The 
truth is Chavez makes no secret of his intentions to build a pocket 
socialist empire, in South America, you can ascribe any motive to him 
that you want, it doesn't change the intent.  Most Marxist/Maoist 
revolutionary groups in the region already make common cause with drug 
runners, (it's a good source of income, and hurts the enemy, so why 
not). I don't need a conspiracy theory for that, but apparently you're 
willing to believe just about any about the US, (and believe every one 
of our rivals is pure of motive, or so it seems).
