1.) If you read the history of the Opium war you see it wasn't the drug that caused it, but silver flow that precipitated it. 2.) Opium was a legal product in GB at the time. 3.) The odds of keeping a secret of this magnitude, (a law enforcement arm of the US breaking the law it's supposed to enforce), is beyond ludicrous, (the old Pirate adage, three can keep a secret if two are dead), hell more than half of congress would love to announce this to the world to embarrass the other half and the administration, the fact that they haven't tells me about it's credibility. 4.) It's the bottom nation selling the drugs.
