I've had problems with red eye (which is actually kind of a yellowish orange) when shooting squirrels with flash and the Xtender. Did you mount it on the shoe? I always use a telephoto flash bracket mounted on the lens' tripod QR plate: http://www.naturescapes.net/memberpics/2818-_j9m2262.jpg This helps to prevent red-eye by getting the flash away from the lens' axis. What's funny about this ground squirrel shot is that the eye had 3 catchlights. One from the sun (still visible), one from my flash and a third from the guy that took a shot at the same time next to me! I cloned those 2 out. -- Christian http://photography.skofteland.net >> >> http://tinyurl.com/ynmdv2 >> >> I used high speed fill flash and the flash extender to lighten up his >> belly.
