I bought a new laptop a few days days ago, and of course it came with
Vista. I spent some time trying to work with Adobe Elements 5, which I
had recently bought for my old laptop, but really felt it was lacking.

Before upgrading to CS3, I thought I've give installing CS2 on Vista a
try. It installed just fine. After registering and activating, I ran the
update wizard at it seemed to hang during the update of Adobe Bridge -
maybe it would have worked if I had waited, but I canceled and as a
result, bridge was gone.

Otherwise, the rest of the program installed fine. Every time I load CS2
it prompts me to register (note- register, not activate) and I have to
click two buttons to say I don't ant to register and, yes, I really mean
it. So the incompatibility with Vista seems to amount to having to click
twice to get the program to load.

Am I missing something here? I had such a strong impression that CS2 and
Vista just plain did not work together that I am surprised by this. I
don't like bridge and have un-nstalled it from my desktop PC, so that is
no loss to me. I probably lose points in the foppishness department -
but having to click twice to load the program doesn't bother me.

Is anyone here running CS2 on Vista? I wonder if there are any future
problem I may not be expecting.

TIA -
