It is wireless 54meg router with 4 wired ports + the uplink port to the modem. Yes, I tried all 4 wired ports. Strangely the uplink port from the cable modem seems OK, otherwise how would the wireless ports connect to the internet.
I think I will try restoring to default settings and see if it works then, just in case it turns out to be a firmware glitch rather than a hardware problem.
