I was checking out my new microphone. Took it out on veranda to see how it would record some of the birds singing. The cars passing on the road were too loud, so I decided to take the recorder around the end of the building away from the road. About the time I started recording, a couple of the neighbors started one of their infamous arguments. I had to shut the recorder off because the tape started smoking. However, the new mic works fine, I could hear every nasty word they yelled.
