Tim -

I have the Spyder2 Suite and am very happy with the Spyder and it's
software for monitor calibration. I calibrate the monitor and use the
latest Epson R800 profiles and am pleased with the results.

I installed the separate PrintFix software, which is included with the
suite, to generate a custom printer profile. It did not give me prints
as good as the Epson profile. In all fairness, I didn't spend a lot of
time adjusting the custom profile since the Epson profile serves me
well. YMMV.

The Spyder works well for me. I generally calibrate the monitor at
night when I can turn off the lights and almost completely eliminate any
extraneous light that might influence the calibration process. Works
for me!!
