I see. Your working methodology is very different from mine. Working on a tripod I set up the shot, look through the viewfinder to focus and frame. I am almost always in Av or M mode on a tripod, so I set up the aperture and metering while looking at the top deck LCD - I might set the exposure up with a hand-held meter, flash meter, or peep through the VF for a moment while I make adjustments. I often fire off a digital preview shot with the K10D and look at the histogram, make any relevant further adjustments. Then I stand back and release the shutter (or sequence when auto-bracketing) with the wired or wireless remote, completely away from the camera to minimize the possibility of jarring it. One of the things I like about the wireless remote is that it eliminates even a 'soft' physical connection between my hand and the camera for releasing the shutter, minimizing vibration. (I almost always use the mirror pre-fire delay too.) Funny how differently people use the same tools. :-) Godfrey -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
