Oh, the transfer speeds are nowhere near what I'd get with FireWire or 
USB2. It's the convenience I'm after. Being able to access my data from 
different machines without changing anything. Being able to work with 
my laptop on the back patio while having a glass of wine, etc.

Lightroom won't run on Windows 2000, which is what I'm running on my 
desktop. I never liked Windows XP much but I'll be getting a new 
desktop with Vista later this summer.
