You can do the trail anyway you like. From self contained (very difficult) to 
having an RV meet you are every road crossing. I did it as a trail bum. 
Actually a lot of trail bums were getting off the trail because they could not 
stand the Yuppies that were out there that year. 

I have always found it very strange how people who have money look down on 
those who do not. They always say how hard they work for their money. Funny I 
never met a ditch digger who had money. Instead they tend to be like some of 
the folks on this list who spend 20 hours of their work week reading the list. 
Of course most folks have not been up and down the economic scale as many times 
as I have. It gives you a different perspective.
