Yes! Zoom was inoperable (auto and manual) when the flash was received. I talked to a Pentax tech who put a 540 on a K10D and we tried a couple things, but without success. He said it appears that the zoom mechanism is stuck and it should be returned to the supplier. That is where it is now to be replaced when again in stock. I hadn't read about it being a problem flash and wish I hadn't. :( Hope to read that problem solved satisfactorily.
