"You must be of legal drinking age to enter this site". Whose brilliant idea was that?
First I told it I was a 105 year old Brit, and of course it let me through. Then I told it I was a 10-year-old living in Afghanistan - it redirected me to Google, claiming that under the laws of my country I can't enter their site, and redirected me to Google (why?). It also put a cookie on my machine so I can't get back to that page to see what happens when I tell it I'm a 60-year-old living in Saudi Arabia! The cookie doesn't have a name that I can clearly identify as coming from this site, so I'm now going to have to delete all cookies. This means that I'll have to re-sign in to sites that I use frequently, such as Amazon. But even after deleting all the cookies it won't let me in, so I had to close down IE and restart it before I could discover that not even a 60-year-old Saudi Arabian is allowed to look at this site. Can there really be something in the Koran forbidding people to look at websites with alchohol? So all it takes is for someone to make a simple mistake, and Maker's Mark won't ever let you read about their range of drinks. For all they knew I was going to order 1,000 cases of the stuff. Now I'll just have to drink Jack Daniels instead. Is it really true that every country in the world (or at least in their list) has a law which disallows people under the legal drinking age from visiting this website? I think not. Someone needs to let Websites That Suck know about this one. -- Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of AlexG > Sent: 27 May 2007 00:28 > To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List > Subject: Re: 3d effect, how to see it more easily/quickly > > sure is > http://www.makersmark.com/Home.aspx > > my current favorite. snuck a bottle across the border and it rules > > > On 5/26/07, Digital Image Studio <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On 27/05/07, AlexG <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > I've noticed something interesting when researching the > FA43...... the > > > suble 3d look to some of the pictures can be > significantly enhanced > > > when viewing/looking for it.... > > > > > > If you own polarized sunglasses, and an LCD monitor, out on the > > > glasses, pull up an image at 50% magnification or crop, > and move your > > > head side to side.
