I was going to order the K100D, what has been said so far about the merger is good enough for me. Although the statements from Hoya have not specifically said they are going to develop and support cameras. They have been very circumspect in their wording if you read closely. Who is going to be appointed to the board is very reassuring though. So it would partly be a leap of faith and be partly practical, because I cannot successfully handhold the Canon 17-40 while I can successfully handhold the Pentax 16-45.
Only Adorama has removed Pentax's rebates (supposedly good through the end of July). Gone. Piff. B&H still has them. It does say error on Adorama's site. But now I am left wondering what is up. Or if something is up or if it's just another web glitch or what. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.
