OTOH, if Pentax continues to operate the way it said it planned to 
operate prior to the original merger offer, the good stuff shouldn't be 
delayed at all.

One thing that strikes me about all this is the articles are in the 
usual bad English translation familiar to anyone who's ever read *ANY* 
Japanese manufacturer's user manuals. Oft times it's not that easy to 
follow what is meant from what is said or written.
