Klaus has tested both the Pentax DA14 and DA12-24 lenses now: http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/lenses/pentax_1224_4/index.htm http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/lenses/pentax_14_28/index.htm
Klaus' formal bench testing matches my informal testing impressions almost exactly. Summary: both are excellent. The DA14 shows slightly less barrel distortion, slightly better chromatic aberration control, and slightly higher resolution at its peak performance lens opening. The differences are small. Which lens you choose should be based on your particular needs and desires, plus price/size/weight considerations. I'm still happy with the 14mm. ;-) Godfrey -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
