On 4/6/07, Bob W, discombobulated, unleashed:

>Interesting caption. "Ten of us set out for the Attic Window peak that
>morning but only four of us made it all the way. " Is this one of
>those Touching The Void stories? Did the others have to drag
>themselves back through the latrines?

Scott Loveless, Brian (high school buddy not seen in 28 years who has
agoraphobia) and myself made it to MacRae Peak - half an hour short of
the Attic Window. Mark is like some sort of mountain goat on crack - he
moves like a ferret with a rocket up it's chuff. *and* his pack(s)
weighed more than my bag full of Darkside gear, so i have no excuses.
Shamed again.

Taking The Biscuit Award goes to Scott who showed tremendous stamina and
sweated more than an Al-Quaida taxi driver during an air raid, hauling
his respectable frame up ladders and across frictionless rock - pausing
only half-way up a particularly nasty incline, muscles straining and
breathing heavy, for a quick bivouac by leaning on a ledge and lighting
up a ciggy.

Photos and full report to follow!
