a "little bit" of fisheye effect is a LOT BIT sucky.

You're not going to get much fisheye effect at 17mm
unless you're getting a 1DS.

Tokina makes the 10-17 fisheye zoom in a Canon mount. 
Of course, you would miss the sadistic glee of a mount transplant
without anesthesia...
