Picked up a Schwinn World yesterday at the local Salvation Army store.
It's made in Taiwan and looks to have been manufactured by Giant in
'87. She's in really good shape for her age, but needs a little TLC.
The headset is too tight, which makes for some interesting handling, the
gear train needs lube, and the tires are really cheap. Good news is
that most of her is interchangeable with the other bike, including
wheels. Looks like I'm set to start tearing them down and building
something half-way decent.
