Correct; it changed from SMC PENTAX 1:1.2/50 to SMC PENTAX 1:1.2 50mm Wheras the 50/1.4 went from SMC PENTAX 1:1.4/50 to SMC PENTAX-M 1:1.4 50mm (and of course the rest of the 50/1.4 changed too, not just the lettering)
