Not, basically. Kept the front element down while walking around. It is the FA 
100-300mm 4.5-5.6 that I used, I want to replace it with the 60-250mm f4.0 
once that is out, so I wasn't too protective with this lens. It didn't seem 
to bother the lens actually.
