Hi all. Almost embarrased to bring this up,after shooting digitally for 7 years, but its got me concerned a bit.
I probably noticed this a long time ago, but its just surfacing on the grey matter lately. I have been noticing taht when i open a horse shot in either Mac preview,Windows default photo viewer or in Vueprint from Hamrick, the photos look fine, lots of detail, bright contrasty etc. One of the things io sell is a CD of all the shots from 1 show ona CD, and i ~have~been going into PS and clean them up if need be. This is were i notice that when i bring them up in PS, they are dark etc. not nice and punchy as in the browsers. Are the browsers showing me what really is, or are they doing some manipulations. If i don't need to edit 8-10 pictures, but just burn them as i see them in the above mentioned viewers, i can save a lot of time, or is it something that should be done, PS that is, so they can have a prper file to print them selves.
