I recently took a look at the L1 as well as the internally-similar E-330. Overall the L1 is notably better ergonomically and biuld-wise. I was rather impressed. The E-330 on the other hand had one feature that made it more interesting to me. The fold-out LCD (combined with Live View). And it can AF during Live View in mode A, making for a very interesting waist-level setup. I'm fairly seriously tempted to get an E-330 for that. Probably with the 11-22 lens if I do.
