I recently noticed a "coming soon" note on the 16~50 on the B&H site. How eminent that is..who knows. I wonder if the later production K10D's are so equipped? K100D's?
----- That notice has been on B&H's site for two or three months. "Soon" is relative to Pentax's style of product introductions. K10Ds have the physical connections to drive SDM lenses, as will the K100D Super. The K10D firmware will probably be released when the first SDM lens ships. I'll bet that K100D Supers will ship with that firmware. That will be...August? September? The latest on the SDM lenses was that they would ship in August. A Pentax dealer in Singapore has suggested, however, that they could be delayed until the end of the year. I would put credence in that rumor if it originated in Malta.
