Left distal radius and ulnar styloid. They've put in something called a volar plate (Leibinger).
It was a very stupid, careless accident. Instead of cycling as I would in London, I tried to avoid some traffic in Weymouth by crossing a pavement, and failed to take the (very low) kerb properly. I fell off and put out my left arm automatically. Bingo! Luckily I was quite near the fire station, so I went there for first aid and to store my bike etc. The fine men of White Watch summoned a paramedic and off I went into the safe hands of the West Dorset NHS for a few days. Annoyingly, when I was on the floor I noticed that my watch had come off, and I told myself to pick it up. Then I saw how bad the break was, and promptly forgot about the watch until several hours later. Of course, it has gone, but I have reported it lost because somebody might hand it in. Otherwise I'll try and claim on my insurance. I'm very attached to it, having bought it with money left to me by my father, and I'm quite upset about losing it. It's a 1995 TAG Heuer F1 with a very nice white face and well-worn bezel.
