That particular batch was from a really decrepit carnival in NE 
Connecticut, (Town of Brookline IIRC).  The rides were seedy, the 
performers listless and games of chance so obviously rigged that even 
the locals weren't fooled.  But the fireworks were good.  Those I shot 
on the or about the 4th suffered from my not using proper camera 
support, (digital lets you experiment with no fear).  I haven't posted 
many other shots from that carnival because those I took made the show 
look too good.  But I did post this one of a friends daughter:
