Hi Jostein- Hmmm - just checked the blacklist and blogspot.com is on it. The list reflects the collective spam experience of all the blog users, and judging by some of the earlier blogspot sub domains there were some obviously problems with blogspot blogs that ultimately resulted in the whole domain getting banned. It looks like they banned about 120 obvious porn, pharm, and replica rolex sites based out of blogspot.com before blocking the whole domain.
I was worried that I might have accidentally banned your IP address. Some of the strongest attacks on my website (not the blog - the static HTML site) - have come from IP's registered to the RIPE Network. At first I thought this was just an ISP in Europe and was pretty much blanket banning whole hierarchies of RIPE IP addresses, but then I discovered that it is a core, backbone IP address assigner, sort of like (I guess) Registrar. So my goal of banning all RIPE addresses was, um, misguided :-/ I followed some advice from Doug Brewer at GFM and upgraded my blog to a version that supports spam karma. That has stopped spam dead - I even dropped the IP blacklist, though I still have selected Robots banned at the server level. Anyhow - glad you were able to link to the site afterall! - MCC AlunFoto wrote: > Mark, > I've tried to link to yours from my blogspot.
