It's difficult do astrophototography with the camera's strap around the neck.
Reference to my initial post re: when the camera dropped, I was attempting astrophotography and I had just removed the camera from the back of the SMCK 1000/8, placed it on a nearby table and was about to remove the SMCK 1000/8 from the equatorial mount and ultra mega tripod. It's hard to do this teardown with the camera hanging around the neck. I experienced a sharp, piercing, debilitating pain in my left hip - a leftover from my motorcycle accident in October. When I began to fall, I automatically reached for the table and knocked the K10D off to the concrete tripod mounting pad.
