On 23/7/07, Paul Stenquist, discombobulated, unleashed: >I hope our guy, his lady and his home are okay. Oxford has been hit >with very serious flooding. There's now much more water than Cotty >reported a couple of days ago, as the Thames has overflowed its >banks. And it's supposed to get worse. I wonder if he had to evacuate.
We're okay thanks. I've just popped home for a bite to eat and a large coffee - I'm working tonight but not sure where yet. Just been up in a helicopter to some aerial views of our region - I don't think we have it as bad as they do in Gloucestershire. Pumping stations and electricity have broken down there and so no tap water to tens of thousands. We're high and dry. Had some local runoff as can be seen here: <http://www.cottysnaps.com/snaps/spare6.html> But that went 24 hours later. Some houses around us were flooded but we were fine. We have tiles over a concrete slab and no air bricks - the water went around us. Not so fortunate though for a lot of people and we'll be telling stories of mopping up and insurance struggles for weeks to come. Thanks for asking Paul. -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
