We're having great "tourist" weather (bright sun, clear skies) but
lousy photography weather. And there isn't much of a "golden hour"
because the mountains block the sun for most of the good light and I'm
not in a position to camp out on a mountain to get good sunrise/sunset
light (domestic tranquility and all that...)

But we're having a great time and I'm getting in a few good shots.
Here's one for Cotty:

Saw this fellow on today's excursion: A hike up Torres Peak (14,200
ft). Definitely several notched above GFM in difficulty/intensity. This
follows a day of mountain biking in real mountains; I don't think we
were ever below 9000 ft and some hiking on Sunday. Tomorrow calls for
more mountain biking, followed on Thursday by the real event of the
week, a hike up LaPlata Peak. Only a couple of hundred feet higher than
Torres, but the trail starts a couple of thousand feet lower and it's a
much steeper climb. Still, by the end of the day today, the air at
11,000 ft felt wonderfully dense and oxygen-rich ;-)
As is typical on trips with my beloved S.O. Lisa, I'll probably need a
week to recover after.
I may have a small GESO tomorrow.
