I've settled on setting the WB off a white card - with the IR filter in place. It puts a little color in the shot which I like - though just putting the white balance eye dropper on a while cloud in ACR gets close to the same effect. These two shots make an interesting comparison - same scene shot with digital IR (Hoya RM90 and *ist-D) and medium format Maco IR820 with a #25 red filter: http://www.markcassino.com/galleries/stream/2007/070717/IMGP1266.htm http://www.markcassino.com/galleries/stream/060814/67_1050_tu_pm01.htm I like the digital IR version better, even though the light was not as nice. - MCC -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mark Cassino Photography Kalamazoo, Michigan www.markcassino.com - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
